Tater Update

Miles and I checked my potato crop the other day. Thought y'all might like a look. I guess Brown's holding out on his Leeville pictures.

Tommy Martin knows his stuff

Dab, Brown, and I went fishing in a downpour in Leeville March 14 and 15 with Tommy Martin. Saturday kept 68 trout and a redfish. Sunday kept 59 trout and either 7 or 9 nice slot redfish. Talked to a lot of other folks there fishing with and without guides and we smoked them all. Stayed at the Marsh Masters lodge for $30 a man a night. You can get Tommy at http://www.martinproguide.com/, and I highly recommend him if you want to catch some trout, rain or shine. He says the best time is April - June.

Bought some crabs from this nice lady during a break in the fishing Saturday afternoon and boiled some shrimp and crabs Sat. night.

I think I could sell this one to "Frog Toggs". Went out Saturday till 11:00, went back in to see what the weather would do. At 1:00 looked alright and we headed back out. As soon as we got back to the spot the "bottom fell out of it". Brown won the least prepared award. Tommy said since we couldn't get any wetter we might as well fish, and we were hauling them in and high fiving in a genuine downpour.

Freaks Come Out at Night, Get Stabbed

Went out into Pensacola Bay in a "Flounder killing boat" this past weekend with Jeep and Bone. It's a Jon boat modified to shine a light underwater while being driven from a platform on the bow. The light lets you see everything in about a 30 ft radius, and you cruise around at idle. When you spot a flounder you stab him with a gig and throw him in the boat. The boat never stops and neither does the fun. We managed to stab five flounder and missed about 10. We also got a few mullet. We saw maybe 30 redfish, but it's illegal to gig them in Florida. Saw an alligator gar and some kind of ray with about a 7 foot wingspan. Took in a couple sweet sunsets as well.

If a fish that has both eyes on one side of his head isn't a freak, I don't know what is.

Bright Lights, Big City

Rabb's in NYC. From what I hear he's driving a limo without a license for some respectable businessmen and paying $10 a pack for smokes.

He sent me a couple pictures.

This one makes me think of "Night Court". I don't think Rabb's met Dan Fielding yet.
